How I Like to Work
I understand that it can be daunting to take the step of reaching out for help, and to talk about difficult things going on with someone new. It’s really important to me to spend time with my clients to build a trusting relationship where it feels safe enough to talk. The foundations of my clinical practice are built on warmth, compassion, curiosity and a non-judgemental and non-blaming approach.
I like to draw upon clients’ interests and strengths within the work to make it creative and engaging.
I am a Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years experience working across NHS and voluntary sector services. In private practice I work with both adults and young people, and in my NHS role I work in a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team in South London.
I have a particular interest in working with trauma-informed approaches, and supporting individuals live alongside chronic health conditions, or difficult life experiences.
My Credentials and Registration
I completed my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Canterbury Christ Church University. I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council UK (HCPC). I hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Children and Young People’s Psychological Wellbeing Practice from King’s College London. I am fully trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy (Parts 1-3). I have also undertaken specialist training in using EMDR with children and young people.
