About
I am a qualified Clinical Psychologist with over eight years’ experience supporting individuals of all ages and backgrounds, across a variety of settings. I work with both adults and teenagers face to face in Tunbridge Wells.
My Experience and Interests
I am trained to work therapeutically with people experiencing psychological distress, whether related to diagnosed mental health difficulties such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and OCD, or to life challenges such as loss, relationship difficulties, major life changes, or a struggle with identity.
I have a particular interest in people’s relationships and emotional worlds. I find that exploring patterns in how people relate to others and manage their emotions can provide valuable insights and open the door to meaningful change.
How I Like to Work
I believe the foundation of effective therapy is a strong therapeutic relationship. I aim to create a safe and supportive space for my clients by being honest, clear, and compassionate.
In the early sessions, I focus on helping clients make sense of the challenges that have brought them to therapy. Together, we identify their goals and work collaboratively towards them.
The Therapy Approaches I Use
As a Clinical Psychologist, I am trained to draw on a range of psychological models to suit each client’s needs. My main approaches are:
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) - helping individuals relate to their thoughts and emotions in a way that enables them to live in line with their values, strengths, and true sense of self.
- Systemic Psychotherapy - recognising the central role of relationships and wider influences such as culture in both understanding difficulties and enhancing wellbeing.
My Credentials and Registration
I completed my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the Salomons Institute of Applied Psychology, Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU). I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), UK.
